It is not the person, it is the current lifecycle state and mission of the company. Overall networking functionality is simply now a commodity market. The mission is not to innovate primarily, but to instead provide a somewhat repetitive dividend income stream, while making additional new company purchases, to hopefully, in very small increments, extend the potential to continue to have a repetitive dividend income stream. The executives oversee this process, and are rewarded for the ability to continue the trend year after year.
We are simply the chess pawns in this game, and are willingly let go as need be, to continue this game for as long as possible.
It is also not just Cisco, but life in general; so accept it, and enjoy your life. Not everyone is King.
