Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

We all have Stockholm Syndrome

Stockholm syndrome is a psychological response where a victim begins to identify with, develop positive feelings toward, or even defend their captor. It’s one of those paradoxical quirks of the human brain—essentially a survival mechanism triggered by extreme stress and power imbalances.

@b1 I left after 26 years. Things are sooooo much better. Wireless is a horrible market segment to be a part of.

The best way to fight a larger force is to unite many small ones, much like the 13 original colonies did against Britain. In other words join a union. Even if you don't ultimately win you will certainly fair better than most. Power dreads defiance. Even Dan.

Watched a podcast on how you

  • work like a rat to get into college
  • work like a rat to graduate from college
  • work like a rat to get a corporate job
  • work like a rat to get a few promotions

now you slowly became a rat

Sure, that’s true. This is why I've been trying to contact Dan for weeks, asking if he needs my severance package, my house, my car, and my ETFs. I really want to help him achieve his VZ stock target and earn a million-dollar bonus.
