Anybody know how to get offered the severance package if you were moved to another team? I got moved to a new department without any say in it, and I'd rather have the severance instead.

@b1 You sound sort of arrogant. How can a layoff shore someone what they’re worth? Furthermore, your statement t leans to you indicating that if people were lad off, it was because they weren’t worthy. Many people laid off got the job on their OWN merit and didn’t know a soul in the company. They worked numerous hours, all times of day while SOME who survived this go round barely offered the minimum on their team. Nepo babies
If people are going a year without a job it’s because they are unqualified for what they are applying for. A lot of people at Crown were given roles they shouldn’t have had because they knew someone. The layoffs will actually show what you’re worth.
If you want to leave….get on your horse and ride like the wind.
Typical CC employees - arrogant as all he-l. Look outside your windows and see what the world is really like. Consider yourself fortunate you have a damn job and not out the door like the others. If you're unhappy then find something, while getting a paycheck, and move on. People are going 1+ years without being able to find a job. Wake up.
