Finding a new role took me many months and it was terrifying. Severance runs out faster than you think. Everyone should be putting money aside now because the job market is terrible.

@b1 This guy gets it!!
It is brutal out there in the job market. I wish you all the best after you leave TMo, but be warned. Hundreds of people applying for one job, ghosting like crazy--even when you are a final candidate, pay bands being compressed. I just landed a couple of weeks ago after almost 5 months.
Just open a daycare. No experience (or children) necessary.
@be haven't got anything
It took me over a year to find a replacement job and that was before the economy was intentionally sabotaged.
hard agree. I have probably enough savings and if i get severance would be ok for 1 year but that’s it… and it will take over a year to get a new job in this market. sending anyone laid off and struggling good vibes
CDL training is quick, can have it knocked out in a month
Thats a given in any job. Always have an emergency fund of half to several years of salary in easily accessible funds. A lot of folks let lifestyle drive their spending to the detriment of a safety net and/or retirement. Both require lots of planning and savings over time.
Truth, thousands being laid off
Not good at all out there and salaries depressed
