Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Post pandemic

We’re definitely far removed from the Covid pandemic, and it’s gone back to how it was pre March 2020. Employees are coming into office sick due to fear of corrective action for attendance or not meeting the 4 day RTO requirement. But we need to build that culture, which is 100% BS by the way.

@hk I think once you go up to the AVP and higher levels, they only see contact center reports as combined team results. It’s probably difficult for them to see or think about individual people.

I really do feel for member contact employees, as a former MSR myself, management does not care about the well being of the msr, all they care about is if you’re available to take the next call and sale to the member. It wasn’t until I got to a non member contact role, where I saw why people love their job.

@ey yeah, they name the manager and it’ll be easy to identify a list of employees who made the post. You also know death does happen quite often with people, right? I’m in the Tampa office, and my manager (director in consumer lending) committed su_c!de by jumping off a highway bridge and drowning, that was April 2020.

I was in the call center in 2019, my manager at that time was a real hard as, she had no sympathy for anyone and didn’t care how sick you were. This girl on the team, had strep throat and the flu, manager didn’t care, said it would count as a full occurrence each day she decides to be out. Guess who got sick next, the manager! Unfortunately for her, she passed it to her husband who had asthma, which then turned into pneumonia and he never recovered and passed away not long after.

@b1 I hope someone goes in with the flu or Covid and passes it to you and your family.

@ac it varied by different non member contact areas. If you were in a member contact role, it was 5 days.

Boo hoo you have to go to work. Brush your blue hair and pull up those sweatpants. Or quit now, nobody cares.

@a8

Is that really what they think? You've checked with them? No chance your post was just a weak strawman, right?

Aren't there some boots near you in need of a licking?

Wasn’t pre pandemic office attendance 3 in 2 at home?
