Yes, until they RIF you. I did work of 2.5 people, thought it made me safe…..lol…. Until my RIF last fall.

@b1 it’s a win/win for them too. They get the work of 2 people only paying one and then when you rage quit they don’t have to sub pay you when they’ll eventually riff you anyway.
That was normal before the layoffs depending on the department.
