This is like Obama winning the Nobel Peace Price before he took office. What has he done lately?

Management perform layoffs so they are fair game to critique. OpenText needs an “it’s a Wonderful Life” moment where they assess where they fit in the tech world. When it comes to content and value add network solutions, the tech world have missed out if there weren’t the OpenText solutions, however if OpenText never ventured into AI no one would care. OpenText needs to come to grips with what they can and cannot do. If they don’t, there will be layoffs every 3 months till they get acquired. If they do, there is a chance OpenText could again thrive as a tech powerhouse with content management, cybersecurity and business networks.

Executives get rewards and golden parachutes just for trying.

For employees, First prize is a Cadillac El Dorado (for VPs), second prize is a set of steak knives (employees not let go), third prize is your fired”
