Is there nothing else happening at AT&T right now? Seriously?

No.
Zero degrees today lol
“ If our Federal Government has to RTO each of us need to.”
The purpose of that RTO was to reduce headcount and force retirements. They estimate a 25% workforce reduction. Not conjuncture as this was stated by Elon and Ramiswammy. Making some sense now?
Lets post about collaboration in Dallas and how T innovates. Ohh, it does not exist.
Sorry OP, you have brought me down to your level.

Why on earth would we need to take cues from the Federal government? One of the most nonsensical posts I've seen.
Why don't you take yourself into the grove and never come out?
Stop posting about it. People like you are the biggest whiners. You’re just keeping the problem alive here.
Scratch that Federal government sentiment.

President Donald Trump on Monday signed an executive order requiring most federal employees to return to work in person full time
If employee is union, and contract provided for remote work, that will have to be taken up in bargaining.
If our Federal Government has to RTO each of us need to. We all will get used to it. It takes time to get into the grove.
I so agree!!!!
Maybe we should talk about connected cars? Or how we continue to fake like we're actually doing anything in the mid-market business area? Oh, who cares...
One of the major reasons they can't lay off faster and need to trickle out the layoffs is that they need to keep the legacy cash flow going (dividend) AVPN is still a $7B+ product and its legacy. While they try to move customs to fiber, they lose a lot of revenue but it's also simpler to support. So the annual headcount targets are align to the projected annual loss of legacy revenue. IMO. nothing will change as long as the dividend is the corporate #1 objective. it's more important than customers, product or employees (based upon decisions anyway)
“AT&T is nothing more than a commodity broker with only 2 products to sell . . . fiber and cellular service.”
Your entire post is spot on.
first they came for our post-surplus time, but i didn't say anything because I wasn't on the chopping block.
then they came for our extra week of vacation, but I didn't say anything because I wasn't tenured.
then they came for our ability to work from home, and I'm not going to stop talking about it until I feel like it.
Nope.
The talent left, zero innovation possible (aside from football helmets for deaf kids- the remaining herd is waiting on a payout and an exit.
“The way you phrased the question makes it seem like you’re not employed here. What are you even doing here? Might as well leave now because we’re going to be talking about it for months on end until it changes.”
I have finally found my people. Thank you, sibling!
Hush. Elon, and go back to playing with your rockets and ugly “trucks.”
AT&T is nothing more than a commodity broker with only 2 products to sell . . . fiber and cellular service. They have not even figured out how to get them to work together that well. The company would have been better off selling its real estate holdings or at least get rid of leased buildings, have people continue to WFH on their own dime, offer early retirement for those that are ready to leave, and layoff the under performers. Instead, the company took the most painful approach for the employees, the supervisors, and the stockholders.
Yes there is something else going on besides RTO. It’s called liquidation. Yes you heard right. The T sh-t show is for sale or liquidation as soon as 2025. The SBC id--ts have completed their destruction of a once great company and it’s over.
When your top line revenue decreases every quarter the only way to keep free cash flow up is to cut cost so no AT&T has no other levers to pull to satisfy Wall Street and the investors (BlackRock) You work for an evil and corrupt company, I suggest leaving. I know it’s easier said than done, but it’s not the AT&T you knew anymore. It is now run by psychotics and sycophants.
There is literally nothing else going on at the company. Cut headcount pay down debt. There is no innovation or new revenue streams.
RTO is the biggest joke going and no one will stop talking about it until it’s changed. Everyone sees right thru the BS smoke and mirrors.
