@jq And what the right fails to understand is that tariffs are a tax on American consumers. I bet 80% of MAGA thinks that foreign countries are paying these tariffs...

@pv “What the left fails to understand is that all of these nations need us much, much more than we need them”
What I was saying that if it was true why doesn’t DT cut the US loose and don’t do any trade deals with other countries and run it like the Truman show and see how you get on

@kc I have no idea what you were trying to say, but what you wrote makes no sense.

@jq if that was the case why don’t just cut the US and run it like The Truman Show….. oh I forgot that’s the plan

@fh

You still don't get it. You tariff Brazil's coffee because Brazil tariffs whatever we are exporting. It doesn't have to be the same export.

What the left fails to understand is that all of these nations need us much, much more than we need them.

Suing them for tariffs is part of the performance to have another excuse under their thumb for why Xerox made the worst decisions and need to divert it away.

@e2 That's what you want to believe I wrote, but it's not what I wrote. Tariffs can be an we-pon to offset unbalanced trade behaviors. That would require they be strategically targeted to areas or countries where such behavior exists. If for example Brazil was blocking the import of US-grown coffee, then it might make sense to put a tariff on Brazilian-grown coffee. Since the US doesn't grow coffee, putting a tariff on Brazilian coffee isn't punishing Brazil, but rather it just adds a tax to Americans who want to drink coffee.

Bozo is looking for a scape goat. His leadership is poor. DJT will ends Xerox contracts with U.S. government. Where does that leave the company? Idiocy.

@az

So you believe it's acceptable for every other nation to just rip us off in trade, and we should never fight back? President Trump is fighting back in the only way we can, and in the only way the other nations will understand. He's making up for decades of ineffective leadership.

If you’ve been involved in Xerox business activities, you’ll know that US Government GSA revenue give the highest margin and easy entry to large contracts. Last thing to do is to mess with them.

Anyway if the tariff is found to be illegal, everyone will get the refund automatically.

There is really no need to do this lawsuits unless Xerox is using this to justify why they are doing badly when they next reveal the full year results

I hope Trump lays in to Xerox, finish this company.
The CEO never took a pay cut, only increasingly got huge bonuses along with all his executive staff. Then pass that tariff bill on to the customer with letters to all customers stating a tariff tax on your toner? Please.

Everything and everyone is at fault except Xerox and their own decisions, right Bando?

Headwinds, covid, tariffs, fluctuations, corporate bs speak. Take responsibility you bald piece of sh!t.

@a5 No, the tariffs were just stupid. Tariffs can make sense in some scenarios, but as implemented they were just a reckless tax on Americans.

Tariffs are retribution for offshoring US jobs. Hopefully they will increase.
