I was fortunate to land a role one PSG above my current level this layoff cycle. Should I expected a PSG bump next year after EOY reviews or is it possible to get the bump before then? Curious how this has been handled in the past.

Can I EOI if I got a job but changed my mind about wanting to work?
This OP post is like going to his best mate's funeral and asking his best mate's widowed wife if they can go on a date and when can he lay the pipe on her.
I know someone that got a promoted job that probably doesn’t deserve it and many others in department believe the same.
It’s who you know, not what you know.
Output and quality work is not recognized as much as who you know and are good buddies with.
@ad not if this is US based employee and they only got a verbal offer so far.
Comments below are correct, depends on if CL or placed job.
Good for you OP getting a job and a promotion. Be kind to many that did not.
Trolling!
Call BS on Op. if you actually landed a promotion you would already know when it was effective in your offer letter.
The difference between greed and gratitude. My sincere hope is that you wake up one day.
This guy gets it....NOT.
OP is mid-management material right here. It’s only about you, buddy. Always.

no diff. you will have to request the promotion as before.
if it is a placed job, you will get it right away.
If it is a career ladder job, you don't get a PSG bump just because it was posted at a higher PSG. Typically, you will move laterally and then may be considered for promotion.
