Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

WFH Holiday Weeks

Are people going in this week? Not using any PTO, but based on the OOO messages, I’m assuming it’s going to be a ghost town.

Before Covid when folks were going to the office it was standard practice to leave early day before thanksgiving and Christmas.

It's a normal work week aside from 2 Holidays.

I have it on good authority, all access reports will be ignored for the month of December. You are free to telecommute for the entire month of December.

When y'all going to stop whining about RTO and WFH?

Turn off netflix. Put down the tennis racket and golf clubs. Get the laundry out of the dryer. Drop off the kids at daycare.

...Get back to work like everyone else.

PARTY'S OVER.

See you on the commute to work!

@ay I’m in the Legg org, as well. My team didn’t get the same courtesy.

Based on the responses, it looks like some organizations can WFH this week while others are still 5-day RTO (okay, maybe 3 days this week). I guess it is pretty normal for ATT to not have a set of standards across the board. Some organizations have more priority than others.

I signed out a conference room with a door for this week. I plan to sit on the couch and watch movies all day. Maybe get a few naps in.

Why all the down votes for those who get to WFH this week? At least there are a few leaders left that know 5 day RTO is nonsense.

We were given the all clear to WFH this week. Our VP sent us the communication last and effective on Monday, 11/24. She stated this workplace flexibility is only for her org.

Office seemed pretty busy today. I can only assume people are out of PTOs.
