Glendora HUB is closing. Its last day of operation will be July 17. People were assigned to a centralized group location rather than the one closest to them.

@bm they'll lay you off and move your job posting to a hub that's open.
@bm Former FT remoter who got su-ked into this nonesense. Honestly, I'm dreading the idea of the hub space I'm assigned to being closed. At least I live close to it and don't have to deal with using an interstate to get there. I've heard rumors that could change.
I'm in a smaller hub with multi-buildings in multiple municipalities. My worry is they'll attempt to consolidate the other offices into one big, unified location in one of the office megaparks in our region that's an absolute nightmare to commute to from here. If you're in my region, you can probably guess where. Given I basically sit in isolation each day already, having nobody to work with, having to commute further for that privilege would be utter he-l.
I want my hub closed so that I can be remote
@ax they just laid off a bunch of remote people and posted those Atlanta jobs as replacements
I’ve noticed a significant number of roles open in the ATL hub. 99% sure they’re trying to expand the ATL hub, not to mention they just renewed their lease for another 10+ years.
Is that in California or what State, any hubs Close in CA? Where you guys get all these news, I have not heard anything
@a2 From what I heard, the bank is trying to reduce the number of locations by consolidating more employees into the same HUBs. I think they can close any HUB at any time, for any reason.
What led to that decision? Can they close my hub?
