Sales Reorg

Strong rumors about Networking and Security Specialist SE/AEs being moved into Portfolio Generalist AE/SE roles. Anyone hearing anything for USC and GES?

How would account mapping work? Who would handle Cat Center and Security conversations? Leader check in from today, can someone help confirm/deny rumors?

Cisco SE's increasingly useless. Not their fault though, portfolio is vast and they have to do all manner of other sh-t too like chase TAC and licensing problems. Also their role has swapped and changed constantly; business advisor, programmer, API expert, security, DC, R/S, wireless, now AI. Impossible job. Get rid of it all and let partner do all pre sales engineering.

@ax
Imagine being a technical resource at Cisco and having your management beg you to get even just a CCNP with unlimited test vouchers to help you. Beyond pathetic

Good luck mm made all portfolio SE’s get a measly ccnp and years later they are still whining about it.

What this means for specialist AE/SE „leader“ positions? Finally getting rid of some fat? Anyway, this means, more clueless generalist seller being overhelmed with the portfolio.
