Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Yet you're still here. Your skills must be really marketable to other companies.

This place is making me hate my life.

So comment to hear that employees appreciate their team members and manager. Although their perspective of “ Leadership” is the opposite. Our Leadership team has failed on some many fronts, the middle management team is too busy marketing themselves all upwards while su-king the life out of their teams.

I love my job. Working at AT&T has been the pinnacle of my career.

We stay for the cho. Very few can find a gig that pays better right now and not paying my mortgage isn't a good choice.

@ax glad you have had a good experience. A lot of others can’t say the same.

While there have been several huge blunders over the last 10 years, my experience has been different. I have been nicely overcompensated for a job that is very manageable. AT&T has contributed hugely to achieving significant wealth, financial independence, ability to solidly support my family, and being generous to family and others. I'm blessed and grateful!

It's stanks market culture. Only he sells rotten produce to the producers.

It’s more about promoting yourself with marketing skills instead of performing the real work in order to get biggest raises.

Same here. I've stayed for 20 years because of good managers, good teams and good work, while pretty much hating "leadership" (such a misnomer). I also stayed because I could work from home. Unfortunately, RTO happened at the same time as the tech job market going to he!!. So yes, here I stay. Having a job is a win. I still like my manager, still like my team and still hate management above my manager. But they keep depositing those checks, so I keep showing up.

Will I work hard for the 8 hours I'm in the office. Absolutely. Will I give "extra"? Go above and beyond? Not on your life.

I like my job and I like my team but I cannot stand the leadership. It’s just mistake after mistake then trying to shove down our throats how great it is.

This place will really go down when I leave.
