Was anyone else told everyone received 2% no matter what for merit if they had a Meets Expectations?

reduced by half compared to previous year
“High meet” just means your manager may have tried to get u an exceeds but couldn’t (see other threads where PLs articulate the cr-ppy normalization process), and is just trying to make u feel better. Perhaps u got a little more than the rest of their meets employees, but probably not much.
I was told by my manager there is a high "meet" expectation and a low "meet". High meet gets 3-4%. Low meet gets less than 3%. And it is true that exceeds performance will get more than their own share of bonus which has to come from somebody else bonus being trimmed.
My team and I worked hard and did the work of twice as many, and got 'meets expectations'. Meanwhile others in our org did nothing all year and got 'meets expectations' and the same raise. So why on earth should we continue to work hard?
@bf It actually doesn’t. Employees are rated more on a bell curve and they only give out a limited number of exceeds and far exceeds, so even if you crushed it last year a meets is more likely than higher ratings. The whole calibration process needs to be overhauled because the ratings matrix means nothing otherwise. Also - understand we’re all colleagues here. The vitriol is unnecessary.
was not told this
I got far exceeds and still only got 3%.
I’d prefer 2% to fighting unemployment and the job market.
My first year at Schwab I received a very insulting bonus for passing my 7 and getting put through a sh-t storm. That is when I knew this company wasnt wasn't for me long term.
@pf was written up in December for no reason and will get no bonus or raise.
I had a raving review and still 2.5% and 94.6% for meets, I don't know how it all works but grateful just the same.
2.2 % and 95% Meets. F Me for still being here. I have to go in 4 days from tomorrow.
What % of ABO did meets get?
3% for meets for me
"Meets expectations" means you are an average employee.
Average is mediocrity. Do better!
@ax - you can leave today.
This isn't an airport; you don't need to announce your departure.
3% for Exceeds over here.
I was told I was on the “high end” of meets expectations and got a 3% merit.
For a company that claimed a BUMPER year for 2025, to give a 2.5% merit (that's what I received) for a meets is bascially a slap in the f*&^ing face. I'm sure all the C-Suite got a 2.5% or less rasise as well! Counting the days and I'm outta here! They know what they can kiss!!!!
there’s a lot of down votes going on here;; Perplexing how that happens when raises are discussed….
2% for everyone is a lie. For every PL they take all of the subordinate salaries add them up and multiply by 1.03. The overage is the merit pool that the PL can give out. There's enough money for everyone to get a 3% raise but higher performers who exceed or far exceed get a larger merit increase so the PL has to give out less to other people to make up for it. The money went to someone else under that PL and that person is telling tales to make you feel better
they always give terrible raises for such a wealthy company. some of us got no raise at all
