It’s updated and now shows me as non compliant. They clearly changed the expectations. I’m surprised there isn’t any communication on this from the company.

Dont blame coffee badgers or your peers. If u haven't learned by now this evil company with its poor leadership has been bending us over for quite some time and want us blaming each other when they would have done this even if every one of us complied with their unreasonable demands. Its on them! Its control and they want to turn us against each other but its the company and its leaders that are TRASH!
@bq Do we know for sure that our time connected to the network after 5pm CT will not be counted? Is there an amount of hours that we need to be connected for that day to count?
Exciting change with RTO! No more working after 5 PM CST—even though most deployments happen after 7 PM. No need to train or support offshore anymore, woohoo. Also means no incident or resilience calls outside office hours. Time to remove all work apps from phone. Thank you, HR, for making this possible.
Going forward, if we are contacted during non-office hours, we will make sure to document it and follow the appropriate internal process. We are unavailable for emergency outages.
@br I have zero trust in my employer at this point. Our senior leadership team is a dismal failure when it comes to inspiring and leading a large team. Rules changed and compliance reporting was retroactively restated under new rules? Wow. Does not inspire confidence. Also doing the math YEP it's now more days in office. In the past 11 days was 100% compliant. Now that gets you to 50% of "available days" in a 22 business day month. You now have to do 14 days in that month to get to the new "over 60%" target. If you do 13 days that gets you to 59% which is NOT COMPLIANT. So in April we just added 3 additional in-office days required. And it was added when the month was already about 25% over. TOTAL BULLSH-T
@bq it literally states in the FAQ that it isn't a stepping stone to more rigid requirements and they just increased the days more so ya, it's a fu--ing lie. Any good faith they had with employees is beyond gone and now now even reparable.
False. Managers are perfectly capable of managing productivity just like before Covid when we were actually profitable.
This is happening becasue not enough people quit yet so they're tightening the sc--ws more. They'll reevaluate data and continue if they don't hit their attrition targets.
Remember, they already promised they had no plans to increase compliance rules, and they just broke that promise.
The FAQ does say that currently time isn't a factor with IP tracking.
"Yes, the IP address data also tracks the duration of time worked from that location. Currently, the data is not being incorporated into our dashboard and reports."
I don’t think the reporting is accurate for everyone. I’m missing some days for a month and my coworker who comes in more than 3x a week is reported well below the 60% from eligible days. Another of my coworkers says hers for April is showing at 11 days in office and the month just started.
There must be some errors needed to fix this out.
@b2 the math for May is 11.4 days to hit 60% if you have no other time off with the holiday.
June would be 12.6 days if you work all but Juneteenth. You take the number of available working days you have and multiply it times .6 and it'll give you your bare minimum.
So this is technically a worse deal for everyone. We have to go in MORE to keep up with this than we did with only the 11 days

This new rollout is strictly about using the IP address to track. Next rollout (my prediction) will explicitly mention 4+ hours, then they'll refresh historical data again.
So it’s officially 4 hours to get credit? I have only been in 2 hours and leave, so I am showing 0 days. Guess it’s time to start calling in sick and use all my sick days since I will be fired soon
@b8 Do you have confirmation on 4+ hours? The comm to the middle managers does not mention anything about daily hour requirements.
@b5 depends on how badly your group needs you. They'll make exceptions.
@aj To get credit for being onsite you have to be in office 4+ hours and connected to the network or company WiFi. So this indicates (rightly or wrongly) that over the past five months you never were in office long enough to count.
@b2 no, you shouldn't need to go into the office 4 days a week as the norm. This month I have a couple pto days so my possible in office days are 20. To hit 60% of that, I need to be in office 12 days in April. In November, I have several days off so only need 8 days in office to hit 60%.

@b0 I had been connecting to VPN in the mornings and then coming in after my first meeting concluded. All of those days have counted.
Do we basically need to go in four days a week now? According to all the calculations I'm doing, that seems to be what we need to do to get 60%
Need to break these calculations down further into hours and parts of hours, much along the wage and hour laws that impact employees across the country, particularly if you intend to treat the U.S. employees and rate their performance in different ways than you do for employees in Canada, the 12 EU countries, the Phillippines and India.
Am I showing as 0% because I connected to VPN? Did VPN override my attendance and make them think I wasn't there?
Changing the rules and the measuring sticks in the middle of the game, rather than showing employees meeting their in office obligations, they would rather communicate a different calculation to show the amount of time the employee was not working in the assigned office, all in an effort to further advance this caste system and disregard for the people who make it work. Not what most super regional banks would be concerned about in challenging economic times with self service gasoline pumping at $5.85 each gallon here in California.
@OP it tracked all of my days and I also stayed between 4-6 hours each time.
@aw I typically stay 4 to 6 hours, depending on traffic on the commute and when there is a good lull to pack up and head home. Looks like it tracked around half of my days (30% of the 60% needed).
@at when you’re in the office, how long do you typically stay? Wondering if some of our days aren’t showing up because we left too early.
An announcement is coming, they will be tracking by network connection, but no mention of minimum time.
Yeah, only around 30% of my in-office days were correctly tracked, how do we even know the tracking will be accurate enough for us to try and adhere?

@ap I connect to the network for one hour and got all my swipes. I do 9 days a month and at 44%ish was at 82 before

Lots of chatter at the office today, most have incorrect numbers. Total sh*tshow!
Here is what my cubefarm friends and I have come up with so far (using my phone in the breakroom):
- Saturday/Sunday swipes do not count
- Swipes w/o connecting to the network do not count
- No one can figure out the number of hours connected to the network they are using to get credit. It's not 6+ hours, that was confirmed by multiple folks who were only in for 3-4 hours on Fridays and got credit.
- Some who were in for 6+ hours are missing swipes, no idea why. One person seems to have correct numbers. Even then that person was around 60%.
- Extrapolating Teams chatter and watercooler talk, we have collectively wasted about 2,000+ hours across the enterprise on this so far today.
- Agreement that we are now being treated as if we are back in kindergarten, not as professionals. This isn't how you grow the business.
