Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

Remote promotions

I’m curious with the changes to remote if I would still be eligible to move up in my role to the next job grade. As of 2025 I was able to. I know a new position all together would be hub only.

Also, can a remote employee still earn an extraordinary performance?

Any managers or HR here that can share insights please?

@OP I'm remote and just received an extraordinary performance rating. Not very pleased to hear about the change in comp, but still waiting for the HR email I'm supposed to receive today.

@aw not sure why you are getting downvoted. The way I read it at least was that you are simply the messenger confirming the news.

@aw mileage may vary depending on group, but this is 100% untrue for areas i have familiarity with

If you're remote you are FU---D. Unless you are a senior leader who is "officially" in hub BUT in reality can be seen working from home JUST ABOUT EVERY TIME there is a cameras-on video meeting. Odd how that happens.

If you’re someone’s favorite “yes man” and or under the age of 30, you’ll probably have the rules bent for you. Fairness be damned in this cesspit.

I am a manager and I got approval like I would any other year for a remote employee of mine that will get the rating of above and beyond exceeds exceptional whatever it's called.

I did not get any pushback because he/she was remote.
