For the person asking about the PIL/ pay in lieu, I have heard that it is 3 months of pay if you do the PIL instead of the PIP. Also, I have heard someone that is NRE can be put on a PIP, but not be fired during said PIP to prevent age discrimination lawsuits.
@fm severance package in the U.S.? Never. Only package available is DWs little package
What does severance look like if you are laid off instead of PIP'd?
In 2020, layoff was announced after all PIPs were completed. Can employees being PIPed laid off ?’ Does EM layoff NRE employees?’
There’s no way the PIP’s have a 90% pass rate. I’ve only heard of a few people that actually made it through a PIP.
@aw Oh, you’re bvtt-hurt.
Good…good……let the bvtt-hurt flow through you:

@aq FW is that you? Having a slow day, or just passing time while sitting in your private bathroom
@am PIPs have a 9/10 pass rate. If they’re trying to downsize, it’s a very inefficient and expensive way to do it. It’s O&G, if they want you gone they’ll just lay you off along with everyone you know.
This is just a conspiracy theory repeated by low performers or people who are otherwise just awful to be around and everyone wants gone. These are the two types of employees who catch a PIP in every company.
There were always going to be job cuts.
@OP oil price might be coming down, but there will not be any direct job cuts, yes of course people forced out through piping but no job cuts
