At Esurance, for Christmas we not only had a catered nice dinner, but we had an open bar with 3 drink tickets as well. And prizes like AirPods and even a new Samsung TV.
How does this compare to an Allstate Christmas party?

We didn't see a tree for the last 2 years, got a lunch but you had to choose the cheapest meals and no gift from management. Other auto managers gave at least chocolates or something but not our cheap immediate manager. Quite a difference to when I was hired many years prior. Christmas parties were epic!
There are no Christmas parties. Any gift you get for Christmas will be from your Manager and it will be out of their pocket.

Allstate allowed a ridiculous amount of alcohol at some offsite events preTG and preCOVID. Never alcohol at home office tho.
Usually some gift that you don’t need and they’ve taken away all the benefits of the company including company trips. We used to ask for them to just give us eat some lottery tickets so at least there’s hope of some thing!

I bet Tom, Glenn, and Eric Brandt will all have a fancy party with great food and the best drinks, all the while regular workers will get the equivalent of a high school cafeteria lunch with no alcohol, and a $10 gift card.

Holiday party = A $10 Starbucks gift card + luncheon + 1/2 the volume of claims assigned on a normal workday.
Hahaha. They are Scrooge to the working class. We had to do fundraisers all year to pay for a holiday luncheon from the proceeds. Allstate NEVER put out money toward it.. They couldn’t even give out a corporate card with 25 bucks to a store or Allstate mercy. Uncaring. Unethical. Just another rotten memory of Allsnake. Our boss gave us gift cards and paid for them himself. He tried to make up for what the company refused to do. We got rooked out of a lot. Many companies give year end bonuses lavish Christmas parties. Allstate ain’t one of them. Sounds like esurance was a good company before Allstate took over. Allstate India will have very little if any Christmas celebrations hahahahha
They were called Allstate Holiday Luncheons. Alchohol was never served. The leadership would have a separate party for themselves with plenty of booze, usually offsite at one of the managers or RCL's house. I speak for claims, and cannot comment on other depts.
Gifts were usually given at our Holiday Luncheons. Usually the gift would be around a $10 value.

Give the typical Allstate employee three drinks at a holiday party and it becomes a glorious bash fest of Allstate senior leadership. Saw it at the company parties and at Disney as well.
We can't call it Christmas, at least in our area. We have to refer to it as "Winter Holiday" due to complaints. Jokingly we referred to it last year as "Decorative Growth" since the term Christmas was banned.
And as for party? What party? Our area got a $5 cafeteria coupon and our manager had to pay for any gifts and trinkets out of his own pocket.
