WFH CUSTOMER SERVICE? Has anyone heard if customer service will be impacted? Our manager joined our team meeting only to say he has no clue!

@a4 never ever going to happen; they pay pennies on the dollar for India vs American CS. That accounting line outweighs any other impacts in the eyes of the C-Suite. Sorry broski.

@a5 yes they won’t pay out for UIA in any package. Most areas of the company don’t even realize they have paid sick time, they use PTO when sick or don’t have to log anything. Started in CS 15 years ago been in many orgs since.

Use it.

@a9 Yes a lot less PACT calls this week. Im assuming they 're moving the queues to make sure PSO can handle the rest.

I am in a WFH position that at one time was back to back with calls.. they have slowly trained offshored employees to do the job functions we were trained for. As of this week, there has been a dramatic difference in call volume.

@a7 i think this is true. They need the frontline customer service to be able to meet their goals for Q4. If they give them 30 or 90 day notice; the agents affected won’t sell. Customer service losing their jobs = no care based sales. If US based care on the block, I would expect in Q1 or 2 of 2026.

I have zero informed info on this, other than still being here after 3 RIFs. All 3 we were notified in Q1 or 2. Two in February and 1 in May 2023.

Customer facing positions are safest for now, offline is facing some panic though.

@a2 well it’s sure going to get worse if they cut US based CS.

I still have paid sick time! Maybe I should use it before 11/20!

Honestly they need to get rid of some of the care in other countries. they lie and create bigger problems for the customer and company.

@OP This is really sad. Considering that it’s being reported nationwide but we haven’t received any information. Stressful :/

Customer service/care has been failing to meet even basic standards so it’s about time it got shaken up

Yeah. Everyone is on the chopping block. Home based agents are expected to take big hits if not be wiped out entirely.
