@1jm interesting point but you should get your facts right. I did a quick search since I wanted to know and the stock is up 47% and only trails United amongst the industry during the timeframe UHG is up 69% but all companies are down since the highs of 2024. Don’t disagree with your point that Anthem should have planned better for the medicaid head winds but it doesn’t appear that anyone in the industry did and others were even worse. Whole industry is getting rocked and everyone has had misses.
There have been essentially no stock price gains since Gail took over. The board is clearly comprised entirely of Gail loyalists with no regard for the actual business or stockholders.
Also, how could no one in charge have predicted the 'headwinds' of people leaving Medicaid once the redeterminations began? Give me a break. This company is a joke with no 0 leadership, direction, or vision.

She's getting up there in age so how much longer can it go on? The average lifespan for a woman in the US is about 80. She has way more years behind her than ahead of her. I honestly don't understand why the old-timers at this company work so hard. Like, what are you trying to prove at this stage in the game?

Larry Glasscock was CEO of Anthem from 2001 to 2004. The merger of Anthem and Wellpoint occurred in 2004. Then he became CEO of Wellpoint from 2004 -2007. If you bundle those together, then he was CEO for 6 years (not counting his other board time).
