Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Just got layed off

No thank you for the amazing year. I just closed a 6 figure deal a few days ago and they do this to me today. It's pathetic. They are like you have 3 weeks to move internally or your out. Corporate doensnt care about you. We are expendible.

If I could do it all over again, I would’ve turned down that offer that oracle lifer made me and learned a trade. He is still there. After 30 years of wasted life. Thankfully I left and reclaimed my passion for life. Good luck to all.

Oracle has never cared about their employees. Some of the worst human beings around.

Many people regret staying at Oracle. Constantly anxious, on edge, worried when they're going to get cut. I remember my first manager there. A total b-m. "Oh, don't worry...we're ok...I spoke to "dyed blonde useless SVP" and she says we love (name). Don't worry about those people who got let go...they were redundant" Today, mostly all that were laid off have done more, worth more, upskilled and are better respected. B-m manager, SVP....useless and hated. Getting laid off isn't a bad thing. It forces you to mature and grow. Unlike the Oracle mgmt who let you go.

@j0 sorry that Oracle RIF’d you. Ruthless company. I was RIF’d years ago, took months to get another job, but I’m far better off than when I was at Oracle.

In my 25+ here at Oracle, I've never seen an entire management tree eliminated. Until yesterday. One for the books.

I hear 460 engineered systems leaders and sales reps let go given till end of may 2025 to interview and land 1 of 50 spots available in OCI sales.

Yeah that’s oracle that’s what they do. I am
shocked it’s so many. Usually it’s 25-30 people every 4 weeks so it flies under the radar.

Unfortunately, this is the new normal in Corporate America (and probably elsewhere as well). You are only a number on a spreadsheet to the bean counters. And all the money goes to the top. Best thing is to either unionize or become self-employed.
