From the 2024 Economic Research Institute:

Gunjan Kedia made $10,137,855 in total compensation as President and Director at U.S. Bancorp in 2024. $3,223,037 was received as Total Cash, $6,499,995 was received as Equity and $414,823 was received as Pension and other forms of compensation.

I’d like her to explain what constitutes selfish.

@f3+1jtghms2r you want a leader that laughs at the recurring concerns of employees and dismisses them? And gaslights them as well?

You can be direct without being an a--hole. She was not that.

Does anyone know if yesterday’s meeting recording is available on the intranet? I couldn’t find it. Aren’t these things usually available afterwards as a recording?

She did great! Nothing to hide and very truthful with the responses. I'd rather have a leader who tells me like it is than a leader who says something and does the opposite. Glad she's the new CEO!

Listen to the last earnings call Q&A and write down the names of the analysts who asked questions. They all have an investors/investment email address. Create a burner account and send them a link to these threads. They can do the research themselves but this is too compelling not to include it in their next valuations.

Someone please share a link to her prior “male, pale, stale” tweet. Please and thank you.

I wonder how much she got for her soul when she sold it?

I don't get it. The CEO made clear what she wanted and expected of employees. Why is that so hard to take. There was nothing wrong with what she said--you just didn't like it which says more about you than it does her.

@bf+1jtghms2r I also noticed the handoff to the guy to the left of her. I did hear him try to recover her sloppiness a bit by going ‘that was a really good question’, but then he proceeded to spew a load of kool aid. I didn’t hear him laughing, but if he did — geesh. I’m competley disgusted by what I just witnessed. Shameful behavior.

After thinking over the call and why it left such a bad taste in my mouth, I think what is sticking with me was when she made her “selfish” comment, and transferred the question over to another individual to answer. Yes, she was laughing, but you could also hear the other individual laughing as well… and this speaks volumes to me of the culture of the management committee.

A clear picture of the rich and disconnected sitting around the boardroom table, laughing at the little people. No consideration of their concerns and day to day problems.

And I know the lack of empathy is nothing unique to US Bank leadership, however, she mentioned doing these calls more often… if her and the management committee are incapable of even pretending to care on camera, maybe they should rethink that approach.

We shouldn’t be slinging around insults about her accent.
We have credible things to complain about with how she operates and her lack of morals.

First of all I will be the one to say that I barely understood what she was saying. It was like talking to our helpless desk for fu--s sake and then she lost her mind too.

I do love how USB employees down vote aggressively anyone who tells them the truth or, worse yet, asks them to look in a mirror.

The employee PAC is the biggest grift even if the CEO was the most charming and employee-friendly person in the world. The quarterly net profit ends with the word "billion" so I'm sure they can find some money. Same goes for the Employee Assistance Fund. If they really cared they'd fund it themselves.

Who is ready to go into a HUB and puke on the temporary desk we are not even assigned to so we can show her who’s the boss?

I appreciated the transparency, and I feel that Gunjan is going to restore the stock price to its former glory. It takes a lot of courage to draw a hard line. Let's put our faith in GK!

What a pleasant person, right up there with $atan. Get a clue. Read the room. Get ready for one person to drive this company right into the ground.

Wait till the Wall Street analysts connect the male, pale and stale tweet to this performance and the eventual inability to appear at employee town halls or to field employee questions, those Wall Street guys have been fed a lot of BS in an empathetic manner, wait until the get another load with an attitude

This was a train wreck. Solid 0 on a scale of 1-10 for TTUS. She’s a zero. She laughed. What CEO laughs at valid questions? Only a lunatic.

Imagine being Gunjan, the most hated and now cursed by thousands of the U.S. bank’s employees in the history of the bank. Cursed because of how disgusting and vile her mouth has been during this broadcast where she showed us on full display her personality and exactly what she thinks of us. God please knock her down from her throne. This shall not stand.

Love the guy unhappy with being asked to join the PAC. 1) I'm sure he's never contributed a dollar; 2) He/she works their 35 hour week and goes home. 3) Takes no responsibility for the company's horrible financial performance. 4) Always rates himself exceeds expectations. What a great life.

I haven’t felt so down about this company since Friday at 5pm ET. If this doesn’t scream “Get Out” I don’t know what other nonsense you’ll tolerate. The new boss is here everybody

I do not really have words for that performance… other than to say I do believe I now have a clearer understanding of what to expect out of her leadership in the coming years, and I will not expect there to be any focus on employees in a positive way.

As others have stated, the job market will turn eventually…

Holy cow. That was an absolutley atrocious performance by her. I’ve never been less motivated by a leader. I know some cultures can be a bit more blunt…but my god that was pathetic. Very poor.

lol employees asking about pay increases is selfish but then the chief exec asking employees to donate thousands to a political action committee less than an hour later is not…. The gall of this person is unreal

Y'all work for the poorest performing big bank in the country over the past 3, 5 or 7 year time frames and you are whining over being told you need to be in office a bit more and improve your "worst in category" efficiency ratio? And you say GK is "clueless?" Dang...

I appreciated the managers opening live question chats and letting employees vote on what interest them the most. It prevented from valuable Q&A session being used on soft ball questions. Usually these town halls are one way with no opportunities to ask anonymous questions live

I guess I should try to find a friend at work to direct that train wreck call. That was basically an Eff U, if you don't like it, find another job. If she has a publicist, they are going into overdrive damage control mode. If she doesn't, she needs one.

Since she appears to care more about the shareholders, perhaps the employees who have shares can hold the management committee accountable at shareholder meetings, proxy votes, and forcing them to answer questions.

I came into this with an open mind but it's pretty clear she is going to run the company into the ground.

Basically saying on a call that you essentially don't care about your employees and that they are lucky to have a job is not going to motivate anyone.

Great job being dismissive of genuine concerns, lady. Anyone outside working outside of the hub is done. She's delusional. You're deeply empathetic to employees but at the time are telling people with RTO concerns that it is nonsense and people asking about wage increase in the face of economic uncertainty and inflation is being selfish.

This call has not left me feeling optimistic about the future of this company. I tried to go into this with an open mind because sometimes people surprise you. But this was worse than I anticipated. She's rude, tone deaf, and does not view employees as assets. We're inconveniences and expenses, nothing more. She doesn't respect us. There's no love for the company either, which is I think more concerning than anything else.

Her "commitment to in office work" leads me to believe that we are maybe a few months away from a 5 day a week in office requirement, and a whole lotta layoffs.

Honestly I'm sad. This whole thing left me feeling really sad. Employee morale is actually low. Just because you choose not to see it doesn't mean it isn't low, Gunjan.
