I’ve read several threads about Project Infinity with an ultimate goal of eliminating onshore staff. What I’m not clear about is whether it’s targeting production shops like claims ops and call centers, or is it intended to eliminate all functions including those that require high levels of critical thinking and thought leadership?

Is Project Infinity being run by the DOGE team?
American pays outrageous price buying health insurance, we then take the premium to fund foreign country workers.
Is there any concern that project infinity will actually achieve infinity... And go beyond? I am concerned.
Medicare work can be done overseas, the data cannot reside overseas. Hence the use of Citrix or DaaS. Many people were assigned training that covered this within the last 1-2 years.
Contractually Medicaid business cannot be transferred overseas.

No, your area is not exempt. The goal is to use AI/automation/offshore for 99% of the work. And the work isnt just claims or phone calls. Offshore is already being utilized for medical record review, that was probably something in the past where the thought was “we need an onshore nurse!”. No longer the case.
The safest areas of the company are sales/account management but even there, there is a push to have clients choose “off the shelf” or “build your own” benefits.
I predict that if the company stock ever goes back above $500 a share, most of the Executives will take the money and run. That is why they don't care where in the world the employees are located as long as the labor costs are cheap.
