I’m sure they want to get as many people off of payroll by year-end as possible, but assuming that’s not likely. Anyone know if there’s a deadline for 2020 displacements?

I have also been told there are seven dates, including the early December timeline.

There are seven notice dates remaining in 2020. The last one is, believe it or not and unlike past years, in early December.
@asp That was my thought, as well. I figure they’ll be done with 2020 layoffs by mid-October.
It'll be soon (like in the next few weeks is my guess). Certainly no later than October. Joy, lay off people right before the holidays. That way 2021 will start with that many fewer employees (although they'll still be paying severance throughout the year).
I doubt they'll lay people off in November or December.
But they may make another round in 2021. I'm clearly speculating in all of this – no def inside info on dates.

In order to lay off under 60 days they have to demonstrate that cuts are specifically due to covid fallout.

Newsom did suspend it but it's still required at the federal level.
