No longer can get a masters degree? Are these clowns really continuing to go down this cost savings route? We already have zero job growth with no new positions anywhere in finance (and other depts). Whatever, the company su-ks now and I’ll just do the bare minimum until I find something better

@ej it’s actually expense. Capital goes toward an asset and we employees are definitely not an asset to the company. They could care less about our wellbeing.
Paying for a Master's degree is a waste of Verizon capital.

@b6 he prob is but verizon paid for plenty of masters degrees the only thing i see management wise is layed off in Nov … otherwise we are similar … they are going to start picking off associates know and union is complacent with it union knew it was coming too and signed off on extension with no real gains and 0 extra protections against ai when they are fully aware this ceo is going to gut everything
Hi - I was laid off this past November. Was there some announcement on this - no longer providing tuition assistance / reimbursement for post-bachelors degrees? What about certifications? This is so sad. Verizon paid outright for my masters degree fifteen years ago while I worked there.

@OP This is just virtue signaling from whoever is in charge of these programs. They’re only doing it to impress Dan & company. Somehow there are tens of millions to enrich Dan, Sampath, Hans and others but there’s no money to clean the office.

Yes, they will continue to nickel and dime. It has gotten worse every year since I got here. HR programs have been slowly been reduced and/or eliminated. Just wait until thy remove coffee machines from offices...lol
