Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Optum is falling apart

Key people keep leaving or getting shown the door all the time. Morale is in the gutter and the energy here is completely dead. You can feel it walking in every morning. Nobody trusts that things will be stable from one week to the next, not to mention month or year.

Going into the office is so depressing, there is a true feeling of hopelessness. And for what? Has leadership even said what the goal of RTO is? Peak sadness?

I've heard rumor that Tesmer is gone (or will be soon), but nothing official yet. Unclear if it was voluntary or...

Is Tesmer Gone?

We're in a death spiral. That's it. We're cooked. We're left with incredibly inept management and losing anyone that could help stem the tide. People just don't care anymore either.

Market is up a bit because we didn't cut the dividend. The street is ignoring shrinking population, they underestimate the admin's ability to cut social welfare spending, and are totally unaware of how insanely disastrous our strategy is.

Going to be another shocker at next earnings, may get us below $200.

Interesting. Initially last fall RTO we were told that reports would be sent to managers about in office 'attendance'.

I don't get what they were going for but all they made was a place of total apathy. Our leader didn't bring up in office attendance in any review. Raises su-k. People have already taken the cue and stopped showing up. People who do come in are there to vent about how awful this place is. When people quit they are replaced by industry outsiders (probably the only people who they can dope into accepting) who struggle to understand what we do for a year and then quit in frustration or are fired.
