I’m seeing a lot of people from EviCore comment about having their roles eliminated. Have any of the other companies under Cigna or even Cigna itself seen layoffs today?

@13s I am in exact same position with great reviews and productivity. I was planning on doing this job as my retirement job. Brutal way to treat high performing physicians.
16 years as a high performing medical director who did full time amount of work as a part time physician(20 hour) employee. Reviewed with highest marks just a week before…
Still getting my head around it. Planned to do this 5-10 more years.

@as I don’t have any insider info about DME/PAC/HH/Intake layoffs but I am aware that all of those groups are currently considered overstaffed so I would be shocked if they weren’t all impacted
@as not sure. I work in HH department and we lost 3 nurses today
@as yes I would believe so I think they going let go based off quality scores. Thats why they have been doing alot of qa lately
I was a medical director/physician under Evicore, and just received elimination notice today. I’ve been there for years.We received no advance notice that we would be impacted. Multiple physicians have been let go so far today , and it seems like probably more to come. Truly bizarre, I was just added to some new projects, and have meetings, etc. that were still being booked into my schedule as of earlier today. Everyone was blindsided and including my supervisor. Very sad - some extraordinarily talented , compassionate people were abruptly let go. I’m still in shock. I enjoyed my position and the people I worked with. I still can’t believe I’ll wake up tomorrow with no job:(

Is open mic to announce mass layoff ?
Do we know if DME, PAC, HH, or intake will be in the lay offs for Feb?
@aa some of the most significant people I work with daily who were knowledgeable let go. This is terrible way to start the year and work is just ramping up
Why bother with that open mic? It’s insulting to everyone, not just the short amount of time but what will it change? The decisions have been made and no one’s opinion during the open mic will change similar decisions going forward. Just to let people vent and give the appearance their anxiety about a layoff will impact decision making?
IPCM took a huge hit today. It was worse than the cut several years ago. It was a blood bath. Then they send out an invite for a HALF HOUR open mic meeting tomorrow from Adam Kautzner.

@a3 that would make sense based on what I’ve heard. It’s been horrible to hear about. They let go of some serious talent and I’d be surprised if they don’t feel the consequences of it before the end of the year.

6-8 people from evicore analytics laid off. SVP Analytics gone. She was a great leader.
Any evicore physicians impacted today?
EviCore missed their target last year by alot. They are cutting the high pay and/or high caliber/qualified people first then it will trickle down eventually.
