The same thing happened when I was laid off. My direct manager knew nothing about it and only found out when I texted them directly from my personal phone after I got the news.

Org touchbase meetings should be about what new alignment the team is going to be, not about being fired. It does seem early, but last time, my team had ours on day 2.

Mine was lay off, as were 3 others I worked with. Happened at 8:20 this morning
I got one too, with VP, SD, D all on the email.
