The oil companies have 3 years for Trump to create safety and stability in Venezuela before they need to invest money. Chevron is in the best position to expand so we will see what Chevron can can implement before anyone else needs to risk their own money

I wouldn’t underestimate him. There’s a strong chance he did it deliberately to teach a lesson, either to Rubio or Chevron. I’m betting on Chevron.

At his age, the impulsive blurting of information is a symptom of fronto-temporal dementia. So is the confabulation - telling lies that he believes are true. Oil companies need to be careful with their pocketbooks - just because he says something really convincingly, doesn't mean it's actually true.
