Laid off this week. Was remote. Role being moved to one of 2 hubs. Trust no one. I was GL 17+. I shouldn't be surprised as I have seen this happening in pockets even though I was told not to worry.

@ft oh man! I know several leaders who are remote employees. I assume they will be part of an organized layoff?
I’ve also heard that they are working their way down the job grades. Last year it was SVP for in office. I had heard it was coming to all leaders. And there’s a look at the mid-level grades in general, (14+ to be hybrid required). I don’t know if that’s true
Just heard all people leaders will be required to work hybrid. Guess I better reactivate my bus pass! 😠

The goal is to replace you with their buddies in India. Once that's understood, the whole disaster makes sense.

really sorry this happened to you. bunch of greedy fu--s running this company and they don't give a damn what you have done for them. You even look at them the wrong way and you're toast.

I'm terrified of this. Got meets expectations & comply with RTO but it feels like nothing matters anymore. We seem to nowadays have no safety or security at all in our company anymore.
The previous leadership team before AC would literally (like during 2008) reduce folks' pay temporarily to prevent layoffs. This group - no compassion by leaders. They're uncaring sociopathic monsters.
Maybe I'm safer being in a hub & a much lower (cheaper) grade but who the he-l knows anymore. Sorry this happened to you.
