Can we stop calling this “RTO”. The vast majority of us were hired, pre-Covid”, as 100% remote workers. We are not RETURNING to anything.
Let’s call it what it is - Forced office work that no one hired on for.

I've worked for this company for almost 9 years. Hired on for a role that was always wfh. It's what worked for my family. Now being forced to "rto" when it was never what I signed up for is bs. Not to mention my entire team is spread across the state. Clearly their way of causing people to resign so they can avoid paying for people who are involuntarily riffed. I already had one foot out the door thanks for the final push. I hope this company tanks once they lose all their state contracts for not being able to meet metrics.
I notice that job posting are stating hours are 8 to 5 mon-Fri. On others I see job is classified as vitural. Inconsistency is the key at ELV.
Quit your whining because whining isn’t winning! Show up or ship out. Your choice.
Survey was a huge joke. RTO announced after survey closed. That was calculated for sure. Probably for Gail to toot her own ho-n on how great she is… see she has survey results as “proof”. LMAO. I think the coming mass exodus will say it all.

answering that survey honestly is like having a g-n to your head. SAY SOMETHING NICE!!!!!
no it is 41.2k and 36.3k, check your numbers
- 2K current US associates were hired prior to 2020
- 1k current US associates were hired from 1/1/2020 thru today
RTO is obviously only about shrinking the workforce without having to pay severance. People working for years from home have habits and schedules and all this does is cause people to quit.
It costs alot of money to pay leases on buildings and to heat and cool those buildings. To keep the lights on. To pay security and janitorial staff.
There is zero value in RTO. It is 100% RIF but voluntary so they don't pay severance.
I am sure the majority of us put on previous surveys how unhappy we were with RTO at that time and feeling anxious of the constant layoffs but it didn't matter anyhow.
Dear Business Change Strategy Expert: every successful leader knows one thing. Their business is successful when their employees are happy and they have work life balance. Forcing people into jobs they didn’t sign up for will backfire. 70% of changes in the office fail. I would say at Elevance it’s closer to 95%.
Businesses change strategies. The majority of companies are calling employees and specifically leaders into the office. May not be what you like and perhaps it’s time to find a new job but good luck as the market is awful right now. You control your own destiny
