Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

I'm not taking the offer for one simple reason

I've been applying and interviewing for months. I get callbacks and interviews, but then all I get is silence. I get ghosted again and again. No rejection email, nothing. That's how bad it is out there right now. That's bad as it is while I'm employed, I'm not voluntarily entering that game without a job.

@aq VSP is "Voluntary", it's literally in the name, you are resigning form your job.

It depends on your State. Some states will pay you unemployment as this is no fault of your own.

Something I don't think anyone is considering, and a point that Centene would like to keep quiet is Unemployment requires you to lose your job through "no fault of your own". If you resign or take a standard severance package on your own, you generally won't qualify. So if you do take VSP you should plan on making that money go as far as possible since Unemployment is not going to be an option.
