DXC Time booking mess

What a joke, planned a internal system migration for April 1st and time booking codes have still not been issued 2 weeks later. Where has AI gone? Customers are laughing at this Mickey Mouse so called AI company who can't get their own processes to work. On top of this there is no urgency to resolve this P2 issue. Total incompetence of the highest level, someone should be fired for this.

This is not an employees problem. The company want you to record your time. When they can provide a system to do that, I'm sure we all will. Until then. No WBS codes - no can do! Leave it with whoever can or wants to sort it out. Send you manager or indeed HR an email with what you would have booked your time to - they can sort it out.

It might be conspiracy, but I think it's done on purpose. The straw that broke the camels back. I know people that are going to lose their standby hours as a result of this, significantly putting them down when payroll day comes.

My one piece of advice is to raise a HR support request when you have problems as much to cover your backside as to highlight an issue.
I’ve done this every week for the last three weeks so that I can show that I’ve tried to enter my time but the system won’t let me.

Same mess - different department.
Nobody gets a pay rise and they know they won't - it doesn't drive anyone to want to do a great job. There is no ownership. There is no consequences really. Other than a load of people grumbling who don't know what the actual problem is. Some exec manager set a date with no concept if it was possible to deliver. The people involved either don't have enough access, or knowledge or just enthusiasm to get it done. Another case of policy drives behaviours. We will continue to faff about until it maybe it works, or nobody needs a time system as we're no longer working with DXC anyway!

We are more than 50% through the month and the id--ts can even deliver a code.

Total chaos, this isn't a solution provider, its a chaos maker. Who is taking any responsibility for this????

It's a total joke. Should have tested before rollout. Truth is they don't know HOW to fix the issues

What a sit state of affairs. Week 3 and employees Still don't have codes.

The people at the top dont know whats going on in the company as they are too busy travelling the world in DxC time and DXC expenses. The middle managers and lower managers can't be bothered.

The whole system is crashing before our eyes and nobody cares.

I've had a load of emails from the new system telling me I've not completed my time sheet - I have! And that I am not assigned to any work. Not my issue! All sent over the weekend. We can't even get our own stuff right! It's not even new - it's just been rolled out the last few remaining people who had never been migrated from eTes, and after 20+ years eTes retired. PM's say if you didn't bill in March (like you were told too) we'll just have to let the charges slip as it's too difficult to get it changed.

@aq Unofficial processes? There's been no due diligence done. Most of this could have been discovered with a bunch of queries on eTES. It's even in our contracts. If you do not work on a DXC site you may be required to follow the hours that the client works. Well, guess what... total incompetents...

I work part time and it won’t let me book the hours I work. So now it’s basically useless. Can’t book holidays either as my daily hours are set to 0 and can’t be changed. Quality deployment.

@aq 6000 people. Oh that could take weeks to type in by hand! What!? How else would you do it. It's very complicated you know. And NO they haven't got a clue what anyone is working on, capable of working on, or what the clients want doing! That's the whole issue!

One of the many funny things if you join the DXC Time office hours call, apart from the stupidity of your colleagues asking HR about all the unofficial local processes everyone has, is how HR make out how complex the migration is and how big it is, 6000 people migrated.
They do know what we do for our customers don't they?
Just speaking personally I've done data migrations for 1 million+ people, I'm sure others in DXC have done similar sized migrations or bigger.
It's embarrassing!

Sometimes wonder if they do it on purpose, especially fir supplementary pays to delay payment.

This is a poor company with bad leaders.

We have no systems or processes. You can't even get a Dev Ops pipeline into most clients. We can't access the tools on their network, and they won't pay tools for us to do our jobs.

Stuck running on emailed spreadsheets and word documents. Is that as far as we've come in 50 years!
