I got laid off 15 years ago and have been checking in on this board every day since. I can tell you it appears to be getting worse. Im so glad I left when I did.

I wouldn't blame all of CVX. The negative posts look likely they came from one person, (scan/count/context , not AI)

Checking everyday? that's nuts... probably thinking how much pension and 8% 401k should be now i vs 10 years ago... yeah, unless you are working in a company like NVIDIA.. I get it
Checking every day seems a little bit obsessive, but I have to admit it is kind of satisfying seeing all those young whipper-snappers who were going to "revolutionize" Chevron fail miserably. Chevron was in pretty good shape until they started targeting older employees in 2015.
It's appears there are a lot rude, nasty people left at CVX. Hopefully, this layoff most of them leave. The oil industry has always been bo-m or bust. Get over it.
Chevron burned you, and you make a point to check the layoff board every day? I get that you take pleasure in watching the dumpster fire every now and again (who doesn’t), but why let the company live rent free in your head? It’s just strange. I hope you have better uses for your time…
