@OP In the specific case of Oracle there is a elevated intent and purpose of self-preservation and protectionism. There are several leaders and contributing players that have limited, in several cases, zero market experience in the markets / products they are charted to lead. Wait 2 to 3 years and the carnage will be self evident and too late to correct.

@ap @ap Well possiblly yes. In fact I agree 100% - most companies have this as part of their intraworkings. But in the specific case of Oracle there is a elevated intent and purpose of self-preservation and protectionism. Very well said.. Most of the Executives were laid off from other companies but Oracle hired them and paying millions of dollars compensation to these useless folks.
It proved someone's garbage has a place in Oracle's Trash can

The most useless people in Asia Pacific are still there doing their damage. GI - the perpetually drunk apac leader who dives into nonsense detail and forgets it all on the next call - even if a few hours later. The leader who tries to prevent any staff from engaging the US HQ so they can't discover his lies. Who breaks his words with customers. Who's a coward in supporting teams. Who takes credit for everyone else's work. The "little angry man".
