You'll be better off somewhere else, guaranteed. A year after leaving, I finally feel like myself again. I didn’t realize how much the toxic environment weighed on me until I joined a team that actually respects employees and, more importantly, work-life balance. The pay’s comparable, but the difference in morale is night and day. I should’ve left sooner.

My experience was similar to OP's. I came out of my layoff more flexible, better networked, and ultimately (agreed, about a year) in a much better professional position. Revenge was sweet when I got to promote a project to my former manager - the one who laid me off. Don't get me wrong, it takes effort and a couple months of uncertainty. Best of luck to everyone next week.
@bv, No, he gets a chub from telling You what to do and watching you cower in submission, which is his job.

@ap you get a chub when people use a firm voice to tell you what to do don’t you?
