@e0+1jv2y3vdt I'm sure you meant your current job is in wave 1 and your functional discipline is wave 2? Same issue here, but AEOI is such a beautiful thing. Good luck, this whole thing is a mess and the company will NOT be left with the best resources, this being just one of the reasons.

@ap+1jv2y3vdt Who’s your selection rep? I was able to reach out to people who will be “in the room”, regardless of my selection rep. The people who have looked out for you your whole career will still look out for you now. It’s hunger games so who cares about these arbitrary rules that they’ve sets. Only talk to your rep when they don’t know you! What a joke

Selection reps are representing people they’ve never met before. Lovely.

Org charts are released the day that the jobs open so as to maximize stress and shift as many people to EOI as possible (McKinsey & Company 101 - duhhh)

They give you a week notice to increase stress levels as much as possible. Then next week they will send links that will not work and org charts that don’t match available positions. Everyone will be “open”. If you are left standing they will not give you feedback (decision by panel). This round will for sure be a cluster. Many GOOD people have been applying externally for a month. Some will get spots and end up leaving due to timing. Keep up with friends as they leave.

Severance is nice but the way they draw this out and each layer has the same or worsening errors makes me ashamed. I am normally a hopeful person, but it’s getting harder everyday to be optimistic. Stress comes in waves even if you have great chances (most will be completely fine). HR is dark (pretty sure they enjoy this). All this with a dozen projects whose dates will not change even though everyone’s at half throttle. Someone’s going to break (if several have not already).

Save your money, get a side hustle, don’t buy that new house. If it’s not this round it’s next. Leadership just wants to protect themselves (not all but way to many). Very concerned with some of the leadership. New leadership falls almost equally into three buckets:

  • Solid legit leaders
  • Reckless or completely ignorant and idealistic (dreamers)
  • Those that completely manage up with no accountability or leadership skills

I don’t know my selection rep, but he has a great reputation for being a really good PDR. Hopefully that helps my chances in all this.

I still have not received any notifications. It is annoying. When should I expect to receive the call -or e-mail. 4 days is a huge window.

For those getting the call? Any insights from your representative on how best to be competitive? So who's making the calls if the hiring manager themselves are in scope and those boxes are blank.

@a2+1jv2y3vdt It’s not your manager since many managers are currently in scope. It’s a designated representative. I got my call today and they are currently nowhere in my reporting line.

How so? What if you and your manager are in diff time zones? They’ll ping you on teams?
