Agency Convention

Just watched the “Highlights” of the convention. Same old bs blah blah blah as every convention. Nothing will change in any significant way. I swear these are the same taking points I heard 30+ years ago 🫩

@a7 After that email yesterday and reviewing the new contract offered, it feels more like they want to reduce by 100%. Shame to see how this company chooses corporate greed over its workforce.

@ma you do realize that our top competitors don’t use captive agents right?

@n9 This just in, dum--ss. Customers lie when money is involved. It frustrates the he-l out of agents, too.

I hope they told the agents again that they are dead a-s f'n serious about insureds harboring licensed drivers in the house, driving all the cars and all that, is a big problem now. I AM SO SICK OF UDD BS. SF is dead a-s serious now about ultimately not covering the 19 year old that was drunk and struck 10 park cars that's had his license since his 16th birthday but their parents "forgot" to tell their agent about, or claimed they did, or that the agent thought it didn't matter because they were just someone living at home. Adjust yourself agents. They might have to pay more of course and that will cause you problems with your business, but claims is holdin' up for coverage investigations and even denying coverage when sh-t gets real. Loosey goosey is so over for this kind of thing, so fix this sh-t because claims departments are being fu---d.

@b5 that’s funny. Agents bring in the revenue (new customers) that allow everyone else to have a purpose in the company.

Will we get to see a replay of the Pink concert on Flounders Day? I did not see anything this year about a stale cookie being shipped to mer.

@cs thank you for the humor during a serious time. Made me laugh!😂

@dt It is because they do not see the current state of Claims as a problem. They are comfortable with the burnout, the turnover, and the level of customer service we provide.

Crazy, how the company can roll out the red carpet for agents, but abuse claims so much. Why do our executives hate claim handlers so much? Why is our claims department barely functional due to over a DECADE of insane turnover? Why has no one lifted a finger to make claims a better place to be? Why doesnt anyone have an answer to any of these questions?

@an It is the biggest change in State Farm history. Some even say it is the biggest change in insurance. Ever. Our agents will bring in big beautiful numbers. Numbers like you have never seen. Claims will be so tired of winning. In 2 weeks we will provide details about what we mean by technology enabled. 2 weeks. I want to take this time to announce the new Farney ballroom. We need a ballroom. For decades CEOs have complained that we need a ballroom. Not enough happiness on Founders Day. Founders Day... I invented that. A great name. Nobody ever thought about it. One day I suggested celebrating the day this organization started. So many people were surprised. "Nobody has ever thought of that. What a great idea!" Anyway, State Farm is going to come back with these changes. You'll see. We will truly make State Farm great again. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

@an please share. I only watched what was what shared internally with employees. Was it related to the contract changes? I’ve heard rumors. Frankly our agents have been hamstrung so much over last 10-20 yrs they provide little to value imo

Shocking they are willing to spend over $100 million on every convention AND the message is always the same! Get ready, technology is coming and customer first. They've said the same thing for the last five conventions! Use the money to actually accomplish something. The execs just want to hang out with Fallon and Pink to name a few. Waste of money. I wish someone would hold them accountable!
