Early retirement offers went out today. Lots of people excluded.

@12p If it were that simple. I know several who have been RIFed and not performance related.
@an most companies follow same process. Unfortunately I’ve been through RIF’s twice in my career and both companies did it the same way. If your boss sets up a call that is unexpected- and they introduce you to the other person on the line get that resume updated.

Humana news today eliminating 1/3 of Outpatient pre-authorizations starting Jan 1st 2026. This is a need for reduced workforce in related area. EPIC rolling out fast, will replace a lot of Humana systems and reporting needs. More reasons to RIF.

@vh Usually 60 days is what is paid but they can have you stop working sooner
@v3 CW is so top heavy with leaders and continue to stack them.

@ty Humana side but I have heard is RIFs in CW. I would not be surprised if CW was also included. Maybe not hiring 4 + new VPs could help save $$

Early retirement packages offered 7/25 and decision by 8/11. Then RIFs are sure to come.

Usually what they will do is a cowardly ambush. They will coordinate with your leader to get you on a call and the HR will join with you having no prior knowledge. It is very cold and cowardly.
@OP Email? They didn’t have the common decency to do in person or on Zoom? Wow! Mine in 2020, project growth, was zoom call. I know something was but when my manger who never responded to my emails or IMs or come to meetings I scheduled, because they did not read my emails, set up a zoom call, was late, and it was me and someone I never saw before, from HR. This company has had major issues for over a decade. The board is just trying to find someone to buy us.
