It's all calm where I am so far, but I'm still worried.

I worked on AI and trust me their ultimate goal is to eliminate ALL Quality positions in Implementation. Even Implementation specialists might get hit. It's only a matter of time and I'm not saying this to panic people but please be prepared.
@a9 AI should be able to get rid of Evernorth completely very soon. All that worthless analytics that they have hired so many analysts to do with so rewarding outcomes. AI, you rock!
@bn he’s a journalist for the financial times and has covered healthcare for a few years. I see people in here wanting the news of these layoffs to be made public. If someone, perhaps someone who has been affected by a layoff, can speak to him, we might be able to blow this company’s despicable “monthly US jobs layoff and underhanded offshoring to India” strategy to bits.
@as what are you looking for? Maybe look into the fact overseas have access to restricted data in Production and they haven't been able to figure out how to get around it.
There have been multiple violations already and it's being swept under the rug. SOD violations everywhere as well.
I know a cr-p manager that knew it was coming for a week and still had 1x1s with them and said/hitting at nothing. All blindsided and that mgr def knew. Be cautious in how much you trust your mgr
my manager was blindsided by 2 layoffs on our team in April as well.
@an That happened with the April 3rd layoffs. Some managers only learned of the layoffs of their directs from the directs themselves after it happened. That seems to be DP's MO.
Please get in touch if you can tell me anything about this. peter.johnson@ft.com
Quite a few of technology folks in PBS/formerly PBM got hit. Can confirm some managers were blindsided and found out after their directs were told. Don’t trust anybody in this circus.
Quite a lot of last minute surprise last days. 1 person I know got same day meeting in the morning to discuss the future of their department and role. The invite mentioned they would take the rest of the day off with no impact to their PTO. Turned out to be their last day.
Until it happens to you.
@ab hopefully you have a good manager and not a clown like a lot of us had/have. Being safe this round is not guarantee on the next. Keep your resume updated and an eye on the job market. Be ready for anything to happen at any moment.
@a7 what quality dept?
@a9 do you know what area of implementation?
My direct coworker got laid off, so I am a department of 1. I am interested in finding out how my manager excepts me to do the workload of 2 and still take PTO.
There were cuts from my department, I don't know the full extent but there were more than 5.
Implementation lay offs this morning. I'm not sure how many but at least 10 people from multiple teams. They are pushing AI hard and do NOT care how well it's working. It's failing terribly but it doesn't matter because they paid too much money for it.
Eligibility is getting hit on 6/5
Quality had almost a dozen laid off early this morning
So calm, im sure there really aren’t that many, nothing mass
