I just wonder if the employee engagement survey results were so bad, they had to let HON go! Just like what I think happened with JD! Just my WAG.

HON had henchmen like SB to do the dirty work for her.

There is will be no sunshine and rainbows with AM. She’s tough, resilient but essentially a mediocre thinker. No big ideas or inspiration for our consumer will be forthcoming.

These are so so true. Couldn’t agree more.

AM 👎 She is a HON protege.

Arguably #2 at the company and she didn't even wear Nikes?!

HON once wore heels onto a basketball court for some photo shoot, heels made marks and dents in the court, and she didn’t care.

No doubt HON deserved to be sacked. EH needs a distraction from dismal Q4 results and chose this month to sack her.

Worked with HON a bit over the years. Couldn’t have written a better list. Spot on. Destroyed Nike’s marketplace. Sweet to your face, but huge destroyer of value.

Assume people with common sense know that lawsuit allegations are allegations….some true, some people just trying to get money

Raise your hand if you were personally victimized by HON.

Pathetic - all you a## kissers leaving your congratulatory comments on HON's LinkedIn farewell post! Do you realize she is the reason you were unceremoniously let go on a RIF? Possibly could have been saved by her? Or, maybe you're hoping she will take you with her at her new gig! Disgraceful!!!

I’m sure AM is solid but the irony here is that the leader of Nike Women’s (who lost so badly a SKIMS partnership was needed) then gets promoted to run the whole thing? Optically, it’s a funny sight.

I’m imagining the internal announcement when something like this… welp….I’ve got some good news…and I got some bad news…

Thanks EH, I hope HON will join one of our competitors soon. She will bring absolute nothing but disaster.

Assuming you are press, you can look up litigations against nike to get a summary

  • ultimately responsible for the d2c push
  • used it as an opportunity to stack nike direct with yes men & cronies and retaliated against everyone (including the current ceo) who warned against such a hard d2c move and sc--wing wholesale partners
  • clueless about the brand and the consumer. Tried to run nike like a fast fashion brand.
  • cronies of her ruined insights, innovation, marketing and strategy functions which caused a lot of bad investments. Innovation pipeline is dry and out of touch with the consumer.
  • membership and digital push which ended up as a disaster due to severe incompetence in nike tech
  • unpleasant narcissistic woman famous for putting other competent women down. Famous for being a world class backstabber.

Don’t roast me, I tend to be generally oblivious, but why don’t we like HoN? I’m too new to really know how she’s affected the company.

I would be careful how much you celebrate here….you may be excited HON is gone, but the leadership shifts announced are really, really sh---y. This structure is not the structure of a growth company. And if we wanted to invest in innovation, this looks to be the exact opposite of that. Buckle up, it’s gonna be a rough ride for sure.

AM is a solid choice. Good balance for the rest of the ELT egos.

News to which the market has shrugged after hours. Still, a step in the right direction and portends a cascade of more changes.

I actually can't believe how fake and unlikable MD is. She gives off big Zuckerberg vibes tbh and I can't stand her all-hands meetings.

Some folks on here kept criticizing EH because he didn't immediately fire HON. However, he's only been in the big chair for 7 months and needed to assess the situation to see who he could trust going forward with. Now HON is finally gone. Happy now?

The dude knows what he's doing.
