A broken system plagued by favouritism

So many posts about EIA snub and no recognition highlighting individual accomplishments with EIA.

An EIA IMHO stands for excelling individual, yet if you win something and instead just receive "great job team" it tells you how Chennai connection or being in Bangalore-ham is what will make you be recognized.

A person with 5 yr anniversary gets all the accolades while the one who is celebrating 10 yr anniversary doesn't get nothing, coz they're not from the same region.

This culture is what drives toxic corporate politics in every team I have been part of since 6 years.

@am i think OP meant to reference Durham as a snarky.

while i don’t believe in stereotypes, I have first hand witnessed many such favoritism examples where managers become “lazy” to recognize/appreciate associates who are not in same office location or same demographic location as they are.

this always ends up demotivating high performers making them toxic as high performers often tend to be more emotional.

it’s the entire system, all the way to the top. Look who we elect as leaders of the free world???
We promote mediocrity while penalizing the high performers to continue to squeeze every ounce of effort from them.

So I’m in the US and when I’ve nominated a Bangalore team member, I’m told that’s nice but doesn’t count toward our quota, India associates are on a different system. So now I just try to submit one US nomination.

That said, idk why you guys care so much about this. The money is more important.
