A lot of people it should theoretically apply to, including me, still haven’t. All it’s done so far is create a ton of confusion.

Email went out Monday (9/29) at 3:00 PM CT, containing the expected BS about the value of collaboration. The memo ignores the reality that cramming random people into a building does not foster collaboration unless some of them work on the same team. It also ignores that the open office is noisy and unproductive. The real goal isn't increasing collaboration, though. It's getting 5-10% of employees to hate their job enough to quit, thereby reducing the workforce without the expense of severance.
An email will go to approximately 2800 employees who are currently classified as telecommuters and are located within a 30-minute average drive time from our Twin Cities and Washington D.C., offices. The message outlines a new requirement for these individuals to return to the office a average of four days per week beginning the week of Oct. 20, 2025.
A badge swipe report will be available to people leaders beginning week of 10/27. If people are not making meaningful progress toward an average of 4 days a week in the office and not expressed a temporary circumstance requiring flexibility - you should open a performance case.
I am not RTO - since I have not had an office for over 10 years. They took my bonus, my raise, my healthcare and my dignity
@am that su-ks! Honestly it is so stupid. Most of the people going in now are just coffee badging anyways.
I would assume it’s drive home at 430. Unfortunately I lm well within that time. And finding room will be fun because there isn’t enough capacity if all the hybrid workers would show up as required.
@aj so calculated assuming you are driving into the office at 4:30pm?
It’s the entire company, DC and MN only. 30 minute drive calculated at 430. HC has no exception process.
Employees will be notified by EOW. Right now only managers have been notified and they have a big list of names
Is this for all of Optum? One division? Or all of UHC/UHG?
They said its a 30 min drive not 30 mins but even if they forget to include you I'm sure we will all be back in the office 2026 4x a week. These fu----s really got us back man
