Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

No Logic behind promotions

Gulfstream is still hard at it promoting the butt kissers into leadership roles. People with limited experience and less than 3 years in the aircraft industry are still being promoted above more qualified employees. While upper management can’t figure out why the hours are so high on the floor and the budget is blown. One day you geniuses upstairs will figure it out!
People have stopped working hard and spend more time kissing a-s now than ever before. The employees that are actually really good on the floor are tired of the nonsense. Subcontracting work out is the new norm to hit delivery dates. Throwing money at local AC companies instead of firing the dead weight. Wake Up!

I left gulfstream 10 years ago because of this. There are a lot opportunities in aerospace outside of Gulfstream.

@nm as long as the svp cHRo is responsible for approving what positions get approved to be posted and what can be spent it will be politics as usual.

@am it’s always good to know what’s available in the area you want to live in, Hyundai might be a reasonable option, that said the culture will be different.

@am Not any better over there, and they are going back on what they said about hiring a local workforce. They are actively working to automate most of the production there.
