Theres people claiming they have desks reserved in a hoteling building, cars parked where they can find it are being 'stickered', people are trying to run meetings or actually get work done sitting on a couch or in the cafeteria.... I find this clown show spot on for the ringmasters running it. Yet another decision among all the others that seems well thought out and not at all rushed or a knee je-k attempting to regain control of a complete failure of employee relations.
They think that people are just going to know where there is a single empty desk or parking spot somewhere in Dearborn that they can get? Arrogant stupidity at its height. All this situation will yield is less work getting done and another huge hit to morale.
As well, I see several people that come in @ 9am and leave @ 1pm. Some of them dont even spend an hour at the workstation. Hoards at the coffee stations all day.
This whole thing is ridiculous. There has to be some labor law against this. A couch or chair in the cafeteria is not a 'workstation'.
I currently see manager types walking around looking for desks for their people. Thats a great use of time.
