A friend of mine just got and email title "Strategy Change" from their Sr. Dir. (she is a GL 28) There are no invitees, it's a BCC: It's for 10AM CDT

@OP I got the invite at 7 a.m. yesterday for a 9:30 a.m. "Quick Connect" with someone two levels above my boss. It was quick and painless. I’ve seen the writing on the wall for over a year, and honestly, I’m more relieved than anything that it’s finally over.

@bf Is the 116 across all of Optum? Does that include everyone RIFed in OI, OH, OF, and Rx today?
@b0 no. It's the list of all of them. Do they have the ability to rapidly shut them off if needed. They also set a timer for them to shut off automatically at 0 hour

So many talented people being let go today. Very sad.
Lots of UHC and Optum design teams are getting axed as we speak. Teams focused on journey work and even some "AI design" for the myuhc.com site and mobile app.

I think it's awesome to let WIPRO/Offshore fail. Once no onshore is around to clean up their mess, it will be glorious, Su-ks the higher ups don't see the nepotism etc, or are the higher up's creating the nepotism.
@ah There were at least 75 people selected in my RIF paperwork. It shows age and roles and who was or was not selected.

Heard through the grapevine a couple of legacy OI engineers are let go, but only for low performance numbers.
@ae This post is a great example of the toxic culture at Optum. Who wants to work here when you are treated this bad by fellow employees.

@ac You can tell if you name is not in the to line of the email. Instead of a list of participants it appears blank so you know they bcc the invitees to a meeting.
How do you find out if it is a bcc?
