Thread regarding State Farm Insurance layoffs

I’ve stayed here far too long

I’d take any deal that lets me walk away with severance.

LOL! I laugh as sooo many people do not understand the world we live it, going to be so sad. AI is going to eliminate 40-50% of mostly entry level jobs across corporate America. It also means there will be very little need, if any, for people in accounting, finance, programmers, underwriting service, initial loss reporting, marketing, help desks and support....and so on down the line. If it can be outsourced, it will be outsourced. There is going to start being plenty of empty seats plus in the hubs people go into the office in most areas during week 2 or 3. That means no one is in the office on weeks 1 and 4...get you some new tires, change the oil, and grab your favorite mix playlist because your modern American slave arsss is about to sit in some traffic to get micromanaged and accountability for thee and not for me by Execs! RTW is the new way to weed out the weak and non-believers!

@ak Just people starting rumors as usual, especially on here. They've committed to hybrid, there isnt space to bring everyone back to the office.

@ak A very significant number of the claims force is actually fully remote, like 40-45%. I don’t know who will have to go into office full time, but it cannot be these people. It’s a bit ironic that the hardest working and most harassed employees can’t be told to come back to the office or leave, but all the fluff jobs by the hubs employees can be.

I’m so use to working remote sleeping in until 10 everyday logging in looking busy watching ESPN then lunch and boy the afternoon another nap and then you know it’s 4:30. Not sure I could transition back to the office at this point anyway. I want to know the guy was who invented disabling screen mode and leaving multiple tab and documents open great idea:)

@ak I'd like to see them try, I am six hours away from the nearest hub and have been with them 10 years. I'm not moving to flipping Bloomington!

They are getting ready to send everyone back into the office too. Just like every other major corporation is doing with RTW mandates They want to return to the 80s,90s and 2000s and get you even deeper into the rat race. Modern slavery su-ks, but this is what it looks like folks. Unemployment is going through the roof and basically talked about in the memo about the "changing employment market". They get really brave when they have a ton of excess employees. They never learn, numbers don't mean talent....just means more headaches and problems. Recently heard an Exec openly state not only has Progressive passed us, they are growing so fast we may never catch them. If we grow 450K and they grow 8 million....and they can do that for another year then they will be 10 million new autos ahead of us and huge written premium. The homes also go when the cars go......Gecio is not too far behind. Honestly companies like SF do need to go to the way side, su-ks for the employees but this type of total incompetence needs to be punished and put out of business.

If everyone could get a new job that fast, they would.

Just get a new job with a sign on. You control your own life. If you don't like a job you try another.

State Farm is full of too many people afraid to take risks because they think their legacy pension is actually good(it ain't)
