I’m seeing many of the intermediate step jobs in my division being posted to Engine. These are jobs that absolutely require an understanding of how field operations work and hands-on experience. Zero chance you are getting that in India. Why would anyone come to Chevron knowing they can’t move up because the jobs to do so are in India? I understand some jobs can be done remote…but it is starting to get ridiculous in what they think can be done remotely.

Absolutely they do not care. The only goal is to reduce cost. They’re pulling the plug on everything. Let them find out the repercussions of doing drastic measures. I won’t be doing KT on everything I know. Let them find out for themselves. They can figure out how to run the business without my help.
They are dangling the carrot that we will have jobs if we turnover all our knowledge. Stop and think about that statement. Not getting your job back if it’s being KT.

It shouldn’t surprise anyone. You have the same mediocre leadership managing this reorg that got us here in the first place. Does anyone remember what happened in SJV when they let go a bunch of people about 7 years ago and then scrambled to get them back. It’s going to show with this new reorg structure just how out of touch our leadership is with their areas. There’s a reason why they’re waiting until the last minute to show the org charts, because it’s garbage.
Unfortunately, they do not care.
