Thread regarding U.S. Bank layoffs

CEOs are Not your Friend

Hello!

After the Call today thought I'd put some fun info out there, especially for the Bootlickers/Horse Blinder USB worshippers that would miss the birth of their first born child so you can meet a deadline.

  • CEOs are not your friend. From what I've read this CEO is following the same script of all the other Bank CEOs to gain favor with them, Wallstreet, and the current administration.
  • The tone-deaf attitude is a bit alarming but expected. CEOs care about stock price and the Board, not you. The CEO knows that you, random worker, needs them. They just need to keep you happy/complacent enough to not quit/find a new job/ or make you think there's no other jobs out there.
  • CEOs are out of touch with what the regular worker goes through. They don't care about RTO because they can work wherever. They don't have to budget for gas, car repairs, transit, etc. "We all have the same 24 hours in a day" is Bullsh-t, not when taking the train/bus adds 60-90 minutes to a 30-45 minute commute.
  • CEOs want RTO so that they and middle managers who've given up on anything else, can feel some power. They spent a sh-t ton on office space and want an excuse to use it. Sprinkle in "Were doing our part to revitalize downtown" story and you have the same script all the other Big Banks have used.
  • CEOs true character comes out with unscripted comments. Being "Selfish" asking about RTO truly shows that she has 0 connection to the daily stresses we all face.

She doesn't have to worry about a sudden illness making her or her family bankrupt, having coworkers donate PTO/Sick time because you get in an accident.

She is not even on the same planet as us.

You are closer to being homeless than a CEO. Bootlickers, I envy your ignorance, I wish I could view the workplace through rose colored lenses you have 😂

Can you at least wash the boot before you lick it?

I don't have enough time or crayons to try to explain this at a 2nd grade level.

I've found a better higher paying job with way more job security than USB.

I would say that I can't believe I would be reading someone defending a CEO but then again thats how Boomers are.

Like I said I envy you because living in such ignorance must be the same bliss as experiencing the moon landing or seeing the civil war end for you.

Go find your peace, or maybe your caretaker before you lose track of where you are.

No one is eating at Appleebees or licking toes, Piggy.

Stop complaining like you are upset about “the execution” of her message. You would have objected to any way she would’ve told you the truth.

Go find a new job, so the rest of us can work in peace with out having to deal with your entitled attitude. Sooie!

Please keep us updated where your bootlicking goes. Go ahead and email the CEO on how amazing their talk was.

If you're in a leadership position and act like this, I can guarantee that your subordinates would rather have that Elmo toy that takes a sh-t and dances than you as a leader.

I'm gonna assume that you're either a Boomer or your car has bumper stickers that explain your personality so well that getting to know you is the same as looking at a sh---y meal from Applebee's : predictable and unexciting.

You've contributed nothing to the convo and went for personal attacks because someone had a different opinion than you.

The one thing you can do that would 100% benefit everyone around you, would use the 3 brain cells you have , make the work over time, make them pull up their boot straps, and maybe, just maybe use the potential that I know you can muster, to just understand perspectives , not even agree with them, just understand them.

But then again if you're old enough to not care or change, then enjoy maybe the 10-15 years you have left being miserable and making those around you miserable.

@ak+1jtgsxzad

Have you ever held a leadership position?
Have you ever been in charge of a team?
Would you ever introduce yourself , knowing this is your first major impression to a majority of your team in the way the new CEO has?

As I've said before but maybe reading is hard , I understand context and looking at perspective from angles you may not agree with can be challenging: The execution of that message was horrible.

You ask any public speaking / PR person how this talk went, I can almost guarantee you a majority would say this just went plain bad.

That was no way to lead a discussion. There are ways to break bad news/definitive judgements, this was not one of those ways

Looks like your a big baby who complains when you don't get your way or don't like what you hear. Good luck on your job search!

There was nothing wrong with her message today. It’s just the first time you’ve gotten the tough love you and your fellow complainers deserve. Andy Cecere and Tim Welch were push overs.

I understand she has a tough job ahead of her cleaning up after Andy but she didn't handle that well at all.

Part of being a great leader is good communication skills especially when tough decisions are going to have to be made in the next couple years.

I understand employees are going to be upset with her but I would also imagine that share holders are also going to be unhappy with her presentation.

That sort of approach doesn't motivate employees....you know the same employees you need to help turn the bank around. You need a well rounded approach to make things better and it isn't going to happen if that is her attitude.

Gunjan should also keep in mind ...it's not the average employee that made the stock so low....it's executives like herself

The takeaway from that call is she just made things harder for herself.

"Nonsense", "Selfish", "Need to find a friend at work".

These were how CEO of a Fortune 500 company described her employees.

That isn't even the tip of iceberg for the rest of the call.
